"Kantha" is the Sanskrit word for rags. These eco-friendly blankets have been made for centuries from upcycled cloth (typically saris), which was believed to provide protection from harm. Each piece of fabric is joined together by hand with a running stitch, the hallmark of the style. No two kantha blankets are identical and each is a unique piece of traditional art!
