This Moroccan Boujaad rug originates from the Haouz region of the Atlas Mountains. Boujaad berber rugs are known for their asymmetrical beauty. Each rug can take a few months to a year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through generations, preserving heritage and passing down messages in wool from one generation to another.

Each rug is cleaned before leaving our Moroccan rug merchants and again upon arrival however it is usual to find residual grains of Moroccan sand. These rugs have lived previous lives in Moroccan homes. We try our best to depict the colors of the rugs as accurately as possible in all of our photos. Keep in mind the colors of the rugs will vary slightly in different lighting and on various viewing devices. Additionally, because of the handmade nature of these pieces, there may be some slight imperfections, which is the very reason we love them!
