This Moroccan Boujaad rug is over 80 years old and originates from the Haouz region of the Atlas Mountains! Boujaad berber rugs are known for their asymmetrical beauty. Each rug can take a few months to a year to complete. The weaving techniques have been passed down through generations, preserving heritage and passing down messages in wool from one generation to another.

Spot clean with a damp cloth. Vacuum as necessary, avoid the roller function. This rug can be dry cleaned by a professional rug cleaner.

Each rug is cleaned before leaving our Moroccan rug merchants and again upon arrival however it is usual to find residual grains of Moroccan sand. These rugs have lived previous lives in Berber homes. Also due to their vintage nature, there may be slight imperfections in weaving, pattern, shape or wear. We believe these attributes provide character and is one of the reasons we love them!
